But, people don\u2019t always search by name. Sometimes they know they want to buy a product or a service, but they don\u2019t know who offers it. Then they type in a more generic search term, like \u201crestaurants near me\u201d or \u201ctax preparers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p8\"><b>Let\u2019s take a look at an example of online Word of Mouth marketing.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p9\">Imagine you were throwing a dinner party and you want to impress your friends with a selection of cheeses not found at the grocery store. So you jump on your computer or mobile device and search \u201ccheese shops near me.\u201d Here\u2019s an example of what may come up \u2014 of course, your actual results will differ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p12\">Notice that \u201ccheese shops near me\u201d brings up the listings in Google Maps first.
